HTML5 is comprised of several new technologies that are changing the way that business is conducted on the Web. At Eventbrite, we are working hard to revolutionize event ticketing, and HTML5 features will undoubtedly be a large part of many of our development efforts as we grow.

Eventbrite is proud to announce our support for the upcoming HTML5 Developer Conference in San Francisco by hosting a related HTML5 Hackathon event. This two-day Hackathon will take place on September 24 and 25, the weekend preceding the main developer conference.

Head to the Eventbrite office for the HTML5 Hackathon, and you could win a free iPad2.

Hackathon attendees will compete while building projects that use the latest APIs and HTML5 toolkits available. Hackathon winners will get free passes to the HTML5 DevConf, and an opportunity to present their work at the main event.

Event sponsors are providing prizes for the top projects. Eventbrite is offering an iPad2 for the top project that uses our API, and more than $6,000 in additional prizes are available.

Availability is limited, so grab a ticket while they last!
