When people search for your event online, it’s important that your Eventbrite event page shows up as high as possible in the search results, to make it easy for them to get tickets or register for your event.

That’s why we’re continuously improving our event pages through a variety of search engine optimization (SEO) tactics, including a change we recently made to our default event page URLs.

Here are some examples of the new default event page URL format:

The new URLs are more descriptive of the content on your event page and will pull in “tickets” or “registration” based on the terminology you select under “Event Type & Language” on the Manage page.

The best part about this enhancement is that you benefit without even lifting a finger. The custom event page URLs you create and any existing event page URLs are automatically redirected to the new default event page URLs to take advantage of this additional SEO value.

We’re excited to roll out this improvement to make it even easier for people to find your event and get tickets or register. If you have any questions about this change, let us know on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments below!
