St. Joe County Public Library
Nestled in the vibrant northern Indiana city of South Bend, the St. Joseph County Public Library (SJCPL) stands as a beacon of learning and community engagement. Our mission serves multiple aspects of the human condition: to connect individuals from all walks of life to learning, resources, culture, and one another. Within our vision, we envision a community where every individual can achieve greatness and embrace life to its fullest. At the heart of our values lie trust, respect, equity and inclusion, collaboration, sustainability, and optimism.
Guided by a dynamic strategic plan spanning from 2022 to 2024, we are steadfast in our commitment to nurturing and sustaining readers, fostering a stronger community, igniting curiosity for learning, expanding access, and ensuring the enduring sustainability of our library. Governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, composed of seven appointed members, we establish policies, procedures, and governance structures to fortify the St. Joseph County Public Library. Further bolstering our endeavors is the unwavering support of the St. Joseph County Public Library Foundation.
Our reach extends beyond the bounds of South Bend, encompassing the communities of North Liberty and Lakeville, Indiana.
