Rochdale Village Board of Directors
Rochdale Village is a half-century old housing cooperative that was developed in the spirit of diversity by Robert Moses, Nelson A Rockefeller and Abraham Kazan, President of the United Housing Foundation. The cooperative boasts 5,860 apartments that house over 25,000 people. Twenty buildings sit on over 120 acres and it was once the location of the historic Jamaica Racetrack (1903-1959). In addition to residences, this self-contained property also has two shopping malls, a library, post office, police department and three schools without ever crossing the street.
