PROBION

Students’​ Association of Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, PROBION was established in 2015 at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb, Croatia. The primary goal of the Association is to additionally educate the students, and consequently to enable each individual to grow as a scientist and as an expert. The activities of the association are quite interdisciplinary, and as such encompass a multitude of lectures, workshops and discussions during one academic year. The Association has successfully completed a range of projects which included other departments of the University, with the Ministry of Health, and numerous institutions which focus primarily on citizens’ wellbeing and health. In the face of global pandemic of COVID 19 PROBION has continued with its activities digitally, establishing the PROBIONline platform which takes part in the transmission of scientific, socially-useful and, above all, expert information closely related to the biotechnical and biomedical field of activity.
