Monitors Foundation

The Monitors Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established under the laws of the State of Minnesota in 1998. It is the philanthropic arm of The Monitors Club, founded in 1955.

Our primary mission is to support programs targeted at fostering and enhancing the academic, leadership and social skills of youth in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.

To fulfill our mission, we identify and support organizations that share our vision and operate effective programs that improve the quality of life and outcomes for youth, with an emphasis on African American males.

Since 2012, we have awarded approximately

$115,000 in grants to various non-profit organizations in support of specific programs while still growing our endowment to strategically position us to award larger grants in the future. Recently, the Monitors Foundation has awarded grants to Jack and Jill of Minnesota for their Rites of Passage Program, Hopkins West Junior High for their Students on Academic Rise (SOAR), Bluford Healthcare Institute, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority for their EMBODI program, Positive Image, Friendship Academy of the Arts and Pillsbury United Communities Oak Park Center. We are proud to support the programs of these organizations that truly make an impact in our community.

In addition, our members have committed their financial resources, time and talents in support of the Foundation.

We hope that you will embrace our mission and partner with us to achieve our goal of improving the quality of life and outcomes for youth in our community. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.
