Liza K. Williams

Hello there, I'm Liza! My mission is to hold space for change-makers to align their purpose driven leadership with social justice and a deep commitment to personal healing. When we are in full alignment with our purpose driven leadership we are able to RISE up as leaders and THRIVE in our communities. I support those who identify as women, non-binary and/or as gender fluid. I walk alongside you as we co-create a more beautiful and just world both backward and forward in time.

I'm a guide, facilitator, course creator, writer, teacher, scholar, creative, indigenous and feminist change-maker, mother, partner, and firm believer that the personal is the political. Healing is my North Star. I believe that my sacred work is to guide you to heal yourself so you can heal the world.

As a Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) woman born and raised on the island of O'ahu in Hawai'i, I have experienced many challenging circumstances and even life-altering traumas. Many of the traumas I have experienced are rooted in long histories of colonialism and patriarchy within the context of my indigenous Hawaiian communities. These traumas have shaped my life so profoundly that they have changed the course of my life.

As a Maoli woman, healing from these traumas while balancing motherhood, partnership and important roles in my work, have caused exhaustion, overwhelm and anxiety. When I suffered from exhaustion and overwhelm, my own healing and self-care went to the back burner, while I take care of others before myself. This became a cycle of exhaustion that made me less able to do the meaningful work I wanted to do in the world.

I needed to radically change my relationship to healing and work to create a more restful, healing, meaningful and impactful life.

This is what led me to create the Rise and Thrive Women's Leadership Academy and my signature course, Transformative Leadership. For me, offering knowledge from my lived experience affirms my personal sovereignty, affirms my autonomy in body, mind and spirit, and affirms my commitment to be a healing force in the world.

Despite these traumas, I've dedicated my life to cultivating healing and resilience through my leadership, through my writing, and through my personal commitment to social change. I firmly believe I was put on this earth to help other high-achieving, soulful, purpose driven women like you to find sovereignty, healing and a clear, grounded path forward in the tangle that is capitalism and colonialism.

My approach is rooted in my ancestry as a Native Hawaiian woman. I weave my connection to my ancestors, my desire to give voice to what has been historically silenced, and my deep belief that a (re)connection to the sacred creates a foundation for both personal healing and social change.

My approach rests on the philosophy that when we (re)source ourselves with a foundation of care, we are able to step into our leadership more fully and powerfully. I believe that the way we lead in life and work is a direct reflection of our lived values. I also believe that the way we lead is the constellation through which we express our most authentic service through our deepest gifts.

I am here to support you in your leadership journey. Visit my website here for more information.
