Laila's Gift Incorporated

Established in 2022 by Shari Bailey, Laila's mom. Ms. Bailey inspired to start this journey after one of her twin daughters, Laila, was born with a rare condition called Jacobsen Syndrome in 2014. Despite being at a premier medical facility, doctors were at a loss to provide a diagnose for the severe health complications her 5lb11oz daughter was experiencing. When the diagnose of Jacobsen Syndrome was finally identified, Ms. Bailey was horrified to learn that between 20-25% percent of infants with the Syndrome do not make it to their 2nd birthday.

This is when every birthday for Laila became a milestone.

Our mission is to celebrate the birthday of children with special needs and disabilities, recognizing their perseverance and determination in overcoming the obstacles they have faced, and rejoicing in the courage, tenacity, and unique gifts they bring into the new year.
