Hip Hop Caucus-Charlotte

The Hip Hop Caucus is a national, nonprofit organization, based in Washington, D.C., that utilizes the power of hip hop and the hip hop generation to organize young people to be active in elections, policymaking, and service projects. www.hiphopcaucus.org

We’re the Hip Hop Caucus-Charlotte, one of 14 leadership committees in cities around the country, including Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and more. We completed a successful, nonpartisan voter outreach campaign in 2012, known as Respect My Vote! (www.respectmyvote.com). And we’re continuing to address important community issues in 2013, such as gun reform/violence in urban communities, fatherhood, and climate change.
