Florida Chief Park/Ocala Knockerball

We are Florida Chief Park, a local family owned and operated ballpark in Marion County, FL. Please continue reading to learn a little more about us and why we need YOUR help.

The field formerly known as Promo Park, was founded almost 30 years ago by another family whose dream was to create a safe, fun, and trusted space for the community. We want to continue providing its residents with the athletic programs it has known and come to love.

Florida Chief Park Management believes in the importance of youth sports. Sports not only help children develop physical skills, but also improve their self-esteem, self-efficacy, and social support. We also believe in the importance of a strong and united community because if it takes a village to raise a baby, it will take a community to protect them.

We are proud to announce that FCP will be serving the residents of Marion Oaks with a variety of sports for over 100 children, ages 5-16. We plan on hosting events where our parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles can engage too by participating in comedy nights, movie/game nights, adult sports, and more. All right here in our little but growing community.

Currently, the city is not allowing us to have the power turned on due to inspections failed in the years before. Because of this we will need to completely re-do our concession stand because the foundation and roof are not up to code. We cannot accomplish everything we are hoping for without a fully functional park. The funds collected will go straight to the park, our main concern is the concession stand and anything left over will go towards bettering the fields for our residents.

If you have gotten this far THANK YOU and we truly hope that you will consider being a part of this attempt to make a change in our community.
