Dr. Jessica Thompson, PT, DPT

Dr. Jessica Thompson has been practicing as a physical therapist for over three years. She is a Mississippi native and first learned of the shortage of pelvic PTs and barriers to access to care working as a physical therapy technician there in her gap year. She graduated from Mercer University’s DPT program in 2020. Dr. Thompson now works in the Atlanta metro area providing pelvic floor PT to women and those with vulvas. She is also co creator of Operation M.I.S.T., a program where mothers of color are monitored via wearable technology to detect health changes between doctors’ visit to combat the black maternal mortality crisis. Her most recent accomplishment is becoming an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor to expand her work as a birth advocate and change agent.
