Dr. David Murphy

Dr. David Murphy is a physician, who graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School, England and is now based in Leamington, Ontario, Canada. He is a certified medical psychotherapist and a certified anesthesiologist. He has more than 25 years experience in psychotherapy, treating psychological trauma, addictions, chronic pain and the associated mental health issues.

Dr. Murphy uses a non-medication approach to healing mental health issues and offers a holistic approach to his therapy, which focuses on wellness and treating both the mind and the body.

Dr. Murphy is a member or the Faculty of the Institute for Healthcare Communication (IHC) and is a certified Trainer for the IHC's Choices and Changes: Motivating Healthy Behaviours workshop on Motivational Interviewing. Dr. Murphy has been approved by the Mental Health Commission of Canada as a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

Dr. Murphy provides workshops, both online and in-person, on Motivational Interviewing, Hypnotherapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Stress Management using Self-Hypnosis and Mental Health First Aid Certification.
