CRANIA - CenteR for Advancing Neurotechnological Innovation to Application

CRANIA - CenteR for Advancing Neurotechnological Innovation to Application, is a Toronto-based centre supported by the University Health Network (UHN), Canada's foremost research-intensive hospital, and the University of Toronto, a world-reknowned powerhouse in higher learning and research.  Within UHN, CRANIA is futher championed by, the KITE Research Institute at the Toronto Rehab Institute and the Krembil Research Institute at the Toronto Western Hospital.

CRANIA's mission is to foster dedicated collaborations in accelerating translational research to patient solutions and neuromodulation treatments for patients, their caregivers and families alike.  With some 60+ researchers from UHN, University of Toronto and affiliated institutions, including CAMH and SickKids Hospital, CRANIA provides a fully-integrated, first-to-clinic platform consisting of 6 core capabilities - Devices R&D (electrodes, coatings, biomaterials, electronics), Neuromodulation Suite (for electrode implantation), Technology Validation, Closed-loop clinical trials/ research, and High Performance Computing (ML/AI/Data Sciences).
