re:Naissance Opera is a bold new opera company located on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Səl̓ílwətaʔ and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm nations. We are driven by local artists and a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, intersectionality, innovation and collaboration. We produce modern-day operatic performances that represent and connect the diverse communities, people and storytelling media unique to our home-city of Vancouver. We believe that by harnessing the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of opera; by empowering storytellers and producing stories that have been excluded from the operatic space, we will change the world one opera at a time.
