Eventbrite Ratings is here to take the guesswork out of attendee feedback. Starting May 30, you’ll start receiving ratings from ticket buyers through our platform. They’ll be visible to other customers too, who are more likely to hit that purchase button if they see positive scores. But don’t worry—you’ll have a chance to view your ratings before they hit your listings.

Ratings and reviews are hugely impactful for ticket buyers—64% of the consumers we surveyed look for some kind of feedback from other consumers before parting with their hard-earned cash. As well as giving customers more confidence that they’re spending their money in the right place, ratings have plenty of benefits for organizers.

Eventbrite Ratings will help you gain valuable insights into what makes your community tick – helping you learn exactly what they love about your events and bolstering your confidence when it comes to making improvements.

Ratings can also help you drive more sales. From past experiments, we saw event listings with 4+ ratings displayed had a 10% higher click through rate than events without ratings displayed*.

How ratings work 

From May 30, 2024, Eventbrite will send an email to your ticket buyers with a unique link to a survey asking for feedback. They’ll receive this within 24 hours of your event.

The survey will ask attendees to rate these qualities:

Starting June 17, once you receive three responses, your ratings will be displayed on your upcoming event listings and Organizer profile—elevating your events, inspiring fan confidence, and, ultimately, driving more sales.

Ratings is currently in limited release and is available for select locations and event categories. Organizers will be notified when Ratings will become available for their events.

We plan to expand the feature to add interactive reviews, providing you with more in-depth feedback and the opportunity to respond to it—which will help foster and grow your community.

Tips for hosting highly-rated events

Our past experiments have found that an impressive 88% of organizers received positive feedback and those all-important customer insights can then be used to boost your Ratings even further.

Here are some tips to make sure you have all the key areas covered:

  1. Atmosphere: Think about your event’s theme and target audience when adding finishing touches. Pay attention to details such as seating arrangements, table settings, and the overall aesthetic they create.
  2. Vibe: Train staff to maintain a friendly and welcoming approach throughout your event—and think about how your music, activities, and entertainment contribute to the overall mood.
  3. Venue: As well as making sure the space itself is perfect, consider factors such as location, transport, accessibility, parking, and amenities on offer. Visit beforehand to make sure you’re using the space effectively and do a walkthrough from the viewpoint of an attendee to identify any possible hiccups.
  4. Performer: Booking talented and engaging performers your target audience loves is a great way to create a memorable experience. Make sure you communicate clearly with them so everyone is on the same page when it comes to logistics, riders, sound requirements, and expectations. 
  5. Sound system: Invest in a high-quality sound system that works for your venue—and hire any staff needed to run it! Ensure sound checks are carried out early enough to identify and fix any issues.
  6. Event listing: This is your event’s digital shop window. Create an attractive and informative listing packed with all the key information—date, time, location, performers, ticket details. Don’t forget the impact images and video can have. A hero carousel is a great way to show these off. A clear refund policy will give attendees peace of mind so they know exactly what the situation will be if they have a change of plans. 
  7. Event flow: Plot out a detailed schedule for the whole event, from when doors open to the moment the last attendee leaves. This will help ensure you have smooth transitions between sets or activities—and you’ll easily spot gaps or breaks when a contingency plan might be needed.  
  8. Organizer: Being a great organizer is all about communication. Whether you’re speaking to attendees, staff, volunteers or performers, clear and concise communication will keep everyone on the same page and leaving with a smile.
