The Foundation is committed to decreasing the vast amount of pain and suffering this disease casts on society. Strides for Life mission is the prevention and early detection of Colon Cancer. Research shows that colorectal cancer is the second cause of cancer death among men and women in the US.
All of our work is entirely funded through contributions from individuals and companies. Our goal is to create awareness among healthcare professionals and the public and distribute information to those at risk. We run educational programs, wide scale screening programs and risk reduction programs specifically aimed to populations that are high risk. Our foundation is governed by a Board of Directors who work on a voluntary basis and all efforts and resources are volunteered.
