Pepperdine's Judaic Cultural Awareness Club

The Judaic Cultural Awareness Club was founded in 2009 at Pepperdine University with the purpose of “informing and educating the Pepperdine student body of Judaic ideals, morals, traditions, customs, values, to provide context and insight into the Hebrew Bible.” In the past semester, we built a Sukkah on campus bringing seventy-five students together to celebrate Sukkot with Rabbi Judith HaLevy, hosted Messianic Rabbi Jason Sobel who brought over two hundred students together to hear different perspectives of Judaism, and held a kosher event discussing the ancient and contemporary dynamics of keeping kosher. We strive to hold a variety of events that speak to each student in a different way.
