Parents' Coalition of Bay Area High Schools
The Parents' Coalition began in 1994 as a grassroots response to the challenges of parenting teenagers and has since grown exponentially. When teenagers struggle, parents & guardians often don't know how to help and can feel isolated, yet wish for a connection with others experiencing the same issues.
The Coalition offers a platform where professionals and parents/guardians can discuss a wide range of concerns about our teens. Each year, volunteer parents from our member high schools work together to coordinate these events, focused on timely topics we face collectively.
Our mission is to educate, inspire and advance communication and understanding with our teens during this unique journey of adolescence. The Parents’ Coalition strives to build community bridges by bringing parents and professionals together to share information on various topics, to find solutions to parenting challenges, and to counter feelings of frustration and isolation that both teens and parents encounter through the journey of adolescence.
