Oxford University Society Northern California

Founded in 1979, the Branch serves the San Luis Obispo to the Oregon border region, but most members live in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our role is to help local University alumni, former official Visiting Students, Visiting Fellows, and University staff build connections and community through social, cultural, and intellectual activities. A small number of core RSVP required activities are augmented by more frequent member initiated and ad-hoc activities.

Come and join us – bring your partners and kids – and enjoy that collegiate spirit the shaped your time at the oldest university in the English-speaking world. We also have Meetup and Linkedin groups for all members of the society.

We hope to provide a framework for members of our community – like you – to interact with one another in an easy and effective manner, whether it’s to ask professional advice or organize after-work drinks – whatever you feel would be a useful and fun means to engage with our community. And in using these sites, it will also provide you with a simple means of communicating with us and other members, giving us your feedback and ideas.
