Operation Community Restore, Inc

Operation Community Restore, Inc. will provide assistance to families experiencing or facing homelessness. We wll work with any and all persons and agencies dedicated to the preservation of family. Our short term goal is to assist 300 families this by year end 2013; 3000 by year end 2017.
Operation Community Restore, is a non profit organization, based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Our agency focus is two fold. We are dedicated to the eradication of homelessness and we are equally committed to the preservation of family. We aim to identify the ever changing genres of homelessness and their affect on our most prescious commodity- "Community". Operation Community Restore, Inc. commits itself to enhancing the quality of life in the community, identifying alternatives to poverty, acknowledging the ever changing face of homelessness, assisting those persons affected, and preserving the family unit by finding transitional and permanent housing solutions.
Our agency recognized that while Jacksonville leads the country in provisioning for the homeless it lacked accomodations for family units. When families present to local shelters they are often separated according to age and sex. Males over the age of twelve are required to house with other males. Women are often separated from their male children. Men are separated from their wives. Our agency seeks to find alternative housing solutions for families allowing them to remain together.
Some 2,800 students enrolled in Duval County Public Schools are classified as homeless( this does not include those children in foster care). 42% of those children have parents who are gainfully employed The face of homelessness is changing. Everyday people are falling victim. Families are under attack.
