New Hanover Regional Medical Center is the leading provider of quality and accessible health care in Southeastern North Carolina, delivering care to all in need, without the support of taxpayer dollars. The medical center takes seriously its responsibility as the provider of quality healthcare to the region.  Working in partnership with an outstanding medical community and caring community leaders, the NHRMC Board of Trustees is committed to providing the finest in patient care and securing our position on the cutting edge of advancing technologies and treatment. The Medical Center is a key component of economic development for the region, helping attract new businesses and people to the area.

In an effort to address the increasing challenges faced by the medical community, the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Foundation, Inc. was established in 1991.  The Foundation is a separate, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that exists solely to support the programs and services of New Hanover Regional Medical Center.  It is governed by a separate Board of Directors who serve at the pleasure of the Medical Center Board of Trustees.
