LouisianaChildren.org
The mission of LouisianaChildren.org is to support evidence-based programs and services for vulnerable families. Our two programs – Louisiana CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and CACLA (Children’s Advocacy Centers of Louisiana) – serve 33 member programs that provide services to children and families in every Louisiana parish. Each year CASA and CAC serve over 11,000 children who have been abused or neglected. CASA provides a volunteer advocate, appointed by the court, to speak up for the best interest of a child in foster care. CAC’s provide a comfortable, child-friendly environment for children who have been physically or sexually abused to receive services in a way that reduces further trauma to the child.
