Los Angeles Music Awards

The Los Angeles Music Awards have built a tradition and heritage in Hollywood as the legitimate community event that recognizes and honors great talent before they establish themselves in the commercial marketplace. Past success stories are many and include Grace Potter, 1999 nominee, Alien Ant Farm, 1999 recipient, Black Eyed Peas, 1999 & 2000 nominee, Korn, 1993 nominee, No Doubt, 1992 nominee, Dream Theater, 1991 nominee, Sugar Ray, 1994 nominee, Lit, (then know as Razzle), 1991 nominee, plus dozens of others who have gone onto success in other ways. Carmel Helene, who was a nominee in 2005, currently is one of two touring back up singers for Miley Cyrus. 2006 recipient Yogi is currently touring with Chris Cornell as his guitarist. There are many more stories like these attached to our rich history. Our 2010 event marks our 20th year. This year represents two decades of holding our annual red carpet event as the premiere showcase for emerging artists and bands in LA since 1991. The 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards will be a global event, open to artists from all genres of music from every continent. However, to win and then RECEIVE an actual nomination certificate from us requires your physical participation in at least TWO KEY EVENTS during the year 2010. They are: the 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards Voting Party at the Whisky A Go-Go on Thursday, October 7th, 2010 and the main event on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 on the lot at the Paramount Theater.
