Alphabet Rockers
Alphabet Rockers make music that sparks change. Co-leaders Kaitlin McGaw (she/her) and Tommy Soulati Shepherd (he/him/they) are visionary artists who create a culture of belonging for all of us. Alphabet Rockers are GRAMMY-winners, 4-time GRAMMY nominees, nationally renowned children’s book authors, influential media creatives, keynote speakers, performers and commissioned songwriters for animation and other projects.
2023 - GRAMMY® Winner soundtrack for a reimagined world of belonging and justice. This 13-song album created with the children in their collective, sparking listeners to connect their heads and hearts as we find unity in community. THE MOVEMENT is written for the whole family to understand their power, break biases, disrupt systems of oppression, and find community care.
2020 - 2nd GRAMMY® nominated album The Love lifts up voices of the trans, two-spirit and gender non-conforming communities. On The Love, you hear the intergenerational sound of the Rockers, with Kali de Jesus (he/him), Lillian Ellis (she/her/hers), Maya Fleming (she/her), and Tommy Shepherd III (he/him) joining McGaw & Shepherd in anthems for change.
2018 - 1st GRAMMY® nominated album, Rise Shine #Woke reached over 300K kids and families since its release, inspiring American kids to stand up to hate and be their brave and beautiful selves.
