Georgia Tech's Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts
Celebrating 125 years of liberal arts at one of the world’s premier research universities, the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts forms a vanguard in 21 century interdisciplinary research, education, and innovation. These endeavors bridge the traditional separation between the technological disciplines and humanities and social sciences. From this crossroads, faculty and students consider the human implications of technologies, policies, and actions and create sustainable solutions for a better world. The College is comprised of six schools – Economics, History, Technology, and Society; The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs; Literature, Media, and Communication; Modern Languages; Public Policy; and Georgia Tech’s Reserve Officer Training Corps. Degrees offered are ten bachelor’s of science, six master’s, and six doctoral. Graduates are prepared for professional leadership in government, business, public policy, international affairs, law, technology, and new media. The College is named in honor of former Atlanta Mayor Ivan Allen Jr.
