How we have partnered with nonprofit, academic and policy leaders

Raising Awareness and Taking Action

To take action and further our commitment to fostering social connection, we partnered with Born This Way Foundation – a nonprofit that supports youth mental health and works with young people to build a kinder and braver world and Active Minds – a nonprofit dedicated to changing the way young adults talk about, care for, and value their mental health every day.

We sponsored events across the United States with our partners to support mental wellness and destigmatize isolation and loneliness.

Investments in Academic Research

Eventbrite partnered with two of the world’s leading experts in social connection and its impact on wellbeing and health, Drs. Julianne Holt-Lunstad and Richard Slatcher, to study how live events contribute to social connection.

Our plan is to use this research to better equip event creators with tools and knowledge to support them in building experiences that bring people together and maximize their social connection.

Fostering Community

We enable Eventbrite employees, who we call Britelings, around the world to come together and better their local communities. Eventbrite’s unlimited volunteer time off policy enables Britelings to connect with each other and their local communities.

Engaging in Policy Advocacy and Coalition Building

Eventbrite is a steering committee member of the Coalition to End Social Isolation & Loneliness and chairs its Young Adults Working Group. The coalition is working to end social isolation through research, policy interventions and public awareness. Both through this coalition and through direct engagement, we identify and advocate legislation or government programs that address social isolation.
