The Gailen and Cathy Reevers Center for Community Empowerment promotes and strengthens families and communities by offering health, education, civic engagement, and cultural enrichment programs. We strive to enrich the lives of youth, adults, families, and seniors by envisioning South Los Angeles as a safe, healthy, thriving, culturally empowered, and inclusive community. We assist individuals, families, and the surrounding community in dismantling obstacles that imperil health and wellness. We believe this is achieved by providing opportunities that promote physical and mental health and safety, academic success, civic engagement, and cultural awareness. Healthy minds, bodies, and souls build from where we live, learn, work and play.
