Navarro's Martial Arts x CALMA

CALMA is a grassroots community made up entirely of volunteers, based in the Bay Area, that provides support to families and individuals marginalized due to their immigration status both locally and at the US / Mexico border. The pillars of our organization are Education, Community Engagement, and Fundraising.

Navarro’s Martial Arts Studio is well-known throughout the martial arts world as being one of the best schools for training in all of the most popular martial arts disciplines. It’s founder Carlos Navarro, started the school in 1966 and has been recognized as world renown master. He and his daughter Rubie have been producing Martial Arts, fitness, cinema and community events. Senior Professor Carlos Navarro has appeared in several movies and TV shows throughout his career and has been recognized with Certificates of Honor from several of San Francisco’s mayors. Last year, the Small Business Administration bestowed the Small Business of Year Award to Carlos and his daughter, Rubie Navarro.
