No, this game illustrates the need for Incident Response and the practice of your IR plan.  It requires no technical abilities as it deals with strategic considerations.  You do assist in making decision about allocation of technical resources, but only a basic understanding of computers is helpful.

Would this be something that C-Level participants could learn from?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  This game illustrates many practices and needs required to manage an incident without requiring the participant to know any technical details.  There will be other participants who will have the role of allocating technical resources as you work through the scenario.

Question 3

If I am a technical person, will I learn something?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Even though deep technical knowledge is not necessary to play this game, there are enough elements of allocating technical resources to give you an opportunity to think at a more strategic level about incident response.  This should help you have more strategic conversations with your company.

Will the event be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  The event will be recorded.  Be sure to configure your Zoom client to show the name you prefer to be seen.  The video will be used to help us improve the game and to promote future games.

Question 5

Do I have to disclose any of my company information?

Accepted Answer

No.  We encourage you to share what you are comfortable with sharing.  The game does not depend on any information that is proprietary to your company.

Question 6

The invite says the game takes 2 hours, but the ticket has from 12:30 PM CST to 4:00 PM CST

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can join the Zoom meeting at 1:00 PM and minimize the extra time.  There is some overhead to form teams and for everyone to get to their Breakout Rooms.  Also, once the game ends, there is a closing session for questions.
