About this event

A California Black History (1940-1960) Exhibit for Field Trip Excursions for Marin County TK-12 Students and Community Groups. The interactive guided tour includes:

  • A California Black History story of American patriotism and Black migration to Marin City led by Felecia Gaston.
  • Photography, artifacts, and primary sources depicting the history of Marin City.
  • Learn about the significant contributions from Marin City that enrich the culture of Marin County, California and the United States.

We are excited to offer this amazing walk-through history to our schools and community organizations. To ensure our schools have the opportunity to make field trips happen, Tuesdays and Thursdays are primarily reserved for schools. Single reservations for tours are good for groups of up to 35 people and a minimum of 10. If your organization requires a Tuesday, or Thursday or a date not listed, please contact the Education Services Staff at marincitylegacy@marinschools.org.

Can I cancel my tickets?

Yes, you can cancel your ticket but we do require at least 24 hours notice so that we can make your time slot available to the public again. Due to the limited nature of the guided tours, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible to ensure access for all.
