This group is intended for community members who reside in Middle TN, and family members of Alive Hospice patients regardless of location.
We long to hear our person’s name and talk about them with others. Unfortunately, in our society there is reluctance to allow grievers to talk openly about their loved one that has died. We have created this space so we can gather together and share. We want to hear your memories and learn more about your loved one. Each month we will have the opportunity to share a different type of memory with those willing to listen and be heard. You are welcome here!
“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.” — Unknown
Group is led by licensed grief counselor, Sherri McLario.
Monthly topica include:
April: A spring memory
May: A memory of how you met
June: A vacation memory
July: A summer memory
August: A celebration memory
September: A proud moment memory
October: A fall memory
November: A holiday memory
December: A multi-media memory (what song, movie, book, show, etc. reminds you of your person?)
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this group is provided free of charge. A suggested donation of $5 per session is appreciated. Groups are held using the Zoom meeting platform. Participants will be asked to have their video and audio on during the group which will allow you to interact with facilitators and attendees. Unlike traditional webinars, we’re keeping our groups small and intimate in an effort to create community and combat the isolation that typically accompanies grief.
Registered attendees will receive the Zoom meeting link via email the day of the event.
