Rooftop Mat Pilates
Foundational mat Pilates blending classical + contemporary movement for strength & mobility. Weather permitting, class is rooftop!
This foundational mat class draws from both contemporary and classical Pilates traditions, blending the core principles and sequencing of the classical method with the modern anatomical understanding and movement variations of contemporary Pilates. It is designed to build a strong base, emphasizing the essential concepts, breath patterns, and fundamental exercises that form the foundation of all Pilates movement.
Expect a full-body workout that challenges your core stability, builds functional strength, and improves mobility, all without equipment. Each class is thoughtfully structured to move through the body systematically, honoring the integrity of the original Pilates repertoire while incorporating contemporary progressions and modifications to meet you where you are. Whether you're brand new to Pilates or looking to deepen your understanding of the fundamentals, you'll leave feeling stronger, more connected to your body, and deeply worked from the inside out.
Bring just your mat and a willingness to move with intention. All levels welcome! This is part of a weekly class series.

In the case of rain or unsafe conditions, class will either be moved indoors or canceled. Final weather calls will be made via email by 3pm for evening classes and 8am for morning classes.
If class moves indoors, you’re always welcome to still join us—or you can opt for a class credit within 1 hour of the update.
If class is canceled due to weather, instructor illness, or any other unforeseen circumstances, your booking will automatically be converted into a class credit (no refunds). Credits must be used within 60 days and are valid for classes of equal or lesser value.

Per Etage Athletic Club's policy, all guests of the facility must be 18+.
BYOM: Please remember to bring your own yoga mat to class for a comfortable and enjoyable practice. If you don’t have a mat, a towel will work as an alternative :)
Parking & Arrival Info
Parking is available at Etage’s garage on Stanwix St — bring your ticket in for up to 3 hours of validation!
When you arrive:
- Take the elevator to the lobby and exit to Stanwix St.
- Etage’s entrance is on your left — press the intercom and wait for the door to unlock.
- Head down the stairs to check in. The front desk will guide you to class.
