Sophia Coburn (Dornsife)
I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, as a dancer, where I first discovered my love of movement and the mind-body connection. Movement has always been a grounding and inspiring force in my life, eventually leading me to both yoga and Pilates as deeper practices of strength, mindfulness, and self-awareness.
I earned my 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Yoga Love Pittsburgh and am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. I have also trained through Balanced Body in Pilates, incorporating both classical and contemporary Pilates principles into my teaching approach.
In a world that often celebrates constant hustle, yoga and Pilates have shown me the importance of slowing down, tuning in, and moving with intention. Whether through mindful flow, breathwork, or core-focused movement, I believe these practices offer an opportunity to build both physical strength and a deeper connection to ourselves.
As a teacher, my goal is to create an inclusive and supportive space where students can feel present, challenged, and empowered in their movement practice. Through both group and individual classes, I hope to help others cultivate balance, confidence, and a greater sense of connection within their bodies and daily lives.
