Participants will be given tools to help promote friendship skills in the classroom. They will also be able to identify and understand what appropriate social and friendship skills look like.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this session, learners will define the link between social skills and friendship skills.

2 . By the end of this session, learners will be able to identify two or more friendship skills.

3 . By the end of this session, learners will understand how to use activities to promote friendship skills in a classroom.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.

The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. (Approval codes are specific to the number of hours approved and cannot be adjusted for partial attendance).” Additionally, so we can account for each participant, all attendees must register and attend under their own name.
