- You do not need to be a disc golf player to attend. You are going to have fun as a spectator or volunteer, as well. Please register to play, watch or volunteer. The player field will be very limited due to size of course and time frame needed to conclude the event. This event will be scored like a real golf tournament - no teams, no mulligans, and no relief no matter where your disc lands (unless you land on roof top surface or do not meet a mandatory throw lane in which you will rethrow with a penalty stroke). The only slight rule provision available to you, due to saftey and nature of course, is you may throw disc with one foot touching where previous throw landed with no other restrictions instead of playing from behind disc only. We will review all rules before the 11am estimated tee time. full course open for practice at 10am. Bring your beater disc and practice your tomahawk throw. Trees are in play on every hole! This course is like a maze or chess match, serious attention to detail for every obstacle on every hole will benefit you as you think one throw ahead and hope to land your throw in a position for success instead of failure. Luck and skill will combine to see if its your day or not. Good luck playaz!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Please only register if you can commit to this Rock Hill road trip. The course is just down I-77 exit 82; 10 minutes southwest of Carowinds. Our plan is to get you in after the AM rushhour and get you out before the PM rushhour. Please carpool if possible. Parking is limited, as driveway and parking lot is in play. A disc will dent your car (trust me i know).
What can / can't I bring to the event?
Wear closed toe shoes, comfortable athletic shoes or hiking boots are highly recommended. This is not a public course with a maitenence crew funded by taxpayers. Its just PBD with one rake and one wheel barrel doin' the best he can; so, if off trail to retrieve your disc please watch your step carefully. There are tree stump seats at each tee box but bringing your own small mobile stool so you have a seat throughout the course is a good option, too. You can buy those 3-legged stools at Academy Sports in the camping section for only $6 bucks!
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
