How do I sign up to be a maker at the makerspace?

We have a small liability form for you to sign and provide us with some information. We can provide these forms upon your arrival, or you can access them on our website https://www.allegany.edu/western-maryland-works/documents/Makerspace-Use-Agreement-and-Release-of-Liability-for-Adult-Patrons.pdf.

Are consumables provided?

Makerspace offers consumables in the form of basic 3D printing filament, Ink, Various Vinyl rolls, Embroidery Thread, some wood, Sandpaper, etc. We do not have in stock garments of various sizes like T-shirts. If you need a special color filament, tumblr, or garment we recommend you bring that in.

What if I don't feel confident in my knowledge to use Makerspace equipment?

We have a Technician in both the Digital-Fabrication Lab and the Woodshop to help and assist you along the way. Please note the technician is there to provide instruction and guidance, and is not there to create or manufacture your products for you.
