    About the workshop

    Leading a charity is meaningful work, however, it is not an easy task. This informative course will give you an essential insight into methods of leading your charity.

    Outcome

    During this workshop you will find out more about:

    • Key duties and responsibilities
    • Conflicts of interest
    • Hallmarks of effective governance including risk management, transparency, financial stability, good communications and well-run meetings
    • Strategic planning
    • Trustee development.
    • Evaluation criteria and indicators

    Format

    The workshop will be delivered online and will last for 90 minutes with a short break in the middle. To encourage interaction, attendance will be limited to 12 people.


    The trainer - Green Pepper Consulting

    David is a former charity trustee, based in the Scottish Borders, and through Green Pepper Consulting, he provides training and support to the voluntary sector. Previous to working with Borders Community Action, he has worked with both The Bridge and Bavs.
