What we'll do:

Inspiration

Your body is a vessel of your lived experience.

Learn ways to activate body memory and access your intuitive writing voice through movement, sound and guided visioning.

Exploration

Guided, timed creative writing prompts are designed to help you tap into your authentic voice and discover fresh ways to approach your writing, wherever you are in your writing journey. Different prompts are offered each time to inspire new discoveries.

You’re invited to share what you write to receive supportive reflection and feedback.

Integration

After your writing exploration, rest and receive the healing benefits of a Sound Bath meditation. This time is for you to relax and assimilate your discoveries, and to inspire you going forward.

Afterward, there will be tea and time for sharing reflections.

Bring a notebook and pen, yoga mat, and any comfort items you’d like for the sound bath (pillow, blanket, eyeshade). Wear clothing that allows easy movement. Please plan on arriving by 10:45 AM. Free street parking available. We're on the 2nd floor.

Synchronized vibrations are at the heart of human consciousness. Mastering the brain's relationship with vibration can help unlock our ability to focus, relax, and imagine. In this deeply immersive, full body listening experience, we'll explore how sound and vibration can be used to unlock your intuition.

The Space:

Inked Zen is unlike any other art studio you’ll find in Los Angeles, or the rest of the world. It blends the elements of a traditional Japanese tattoo parlor with the energy of a wellness studio. Owners Nic and Maki seek elegance and simplicity, and want their clients to feel the warmth that the studio exudes.

Nicolas Sotomayor is a Certified Sound Practitioner from NY who extensively studied the therapeutic properties of sound. He received his certification in singing bowl sound therapy from the Atma Buti Sound and Vibrational School and completed the Integrative Sound and Music Institute program at the NY Open Center. Nic also holds a Bachelor's degree in audio production from Full Sail University.

Stay connected:

Nic offers Sound Baths in LA and NY and every third Sunday at Inked Zen. Upcoming Events | @soundbathofbeverlyhills | @ninjanickels
