About this event

In celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month in May, join the Harlem Wellness Center’s Racial Healing Hub on a Chinatown market tour, family-style Chinese lunch, and a guided visit to the Museum of Chinese in America, where we will learn the living history of the Chinese experience in America and unpack the history of anti-Asian racism in this country.

Our day will begin at the Museum. Lunch will follow and we'll conclude with Vera leading us on a Chinatown market tour, where we will be able to explore various markets and learn where to shop for affordable fresh fruits, vegetables, and Asian pantry staples.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring your appetite! Feel free to bring a grocery list of any ingredients you are interested in finding in Chinatown and cash!

*Meetup at 10:40am at The Museum of Chinese in America for a private guided tour starting at 11am sharp.

  • *Sliding Scale Donation- lunch and museum ticket included.
