Something really unique for Father's Day....a casual Brew Day and a Bavarian-BBQ lunch. Yep, Bavarian-BBQ is thing...our classic BBQed Schweinsbraten - slow marinated, smoked, then finished on a rotisserie. We then add all the fixings.
In addition, you will get a Brew Day class, where we walk you through all the homebrewing steps.
It's all outdoors, lasts about 3+ hrs and we start on time. There is lots of time for socializing and learning as there are many natural breaks.
We ask that you remain vigilant around sharp cooking tools and hot cooking & brewing surfaces. We want to keep everyone safe.
Since this class includes BBQ, no additional food items will be available for this class. All of our beers and food items are made in-house in a food-handling certified kitchen.
Beer samples are also available as we will be discussing beer pairings with the foods we are preparing. Note: We do not sell our beers nor allow them offsite, but we "sample" very liberally.
There is a family discount available.
Pre-paid e-tickets are required to enter. We do not allow walk-ins. We are not open to the public. Ticket purchasers are automatically added as subscribers to our email list.
We card because we care and require positive age verification (21+). You may attend any class or event if you are under 21, but you cannot drink.
We do not sell alcohol or allow it off-premise.

1516 Lincoln Ave is located at the corner of Lincoln Ave and Powers Ct at the "bend in Lincoln."
Public Transit - Stop: Santa Clara Ave/Stanton St is 1 block away. It is served by AC Transit:
O-Transbay from Salesforce Transit Center in SF;
51A from downtown Oakland/12th St BART, Park St., or Fruitvale BART.
Driving - We are almost dead-center in Alameda. We have street parking along Lincoln Ave. Please be courteous when parking in the neighborhood.
Finding Us - From the corner of Lincoln Ave and Powers Ct, we are just a few yards down Powers Ct. At the corner, you will see our sign, follow our Friendship Garden down to the Red Gate and the Maypole/Flagpole with the Bavarian and Alameda flags.
About the host...
Hans, the founder of Dahoam1516, Master Chef, and Braumeister, is dedicated to keeping the finest of Bavarian cuisine and traditions accessible to anyone here in Alameda.
Hans attended culinary classes in Bavaria and the United States. He has worked at several restaurants and operates a small home-based catering service and brewhouse.
About the club...
Dahoam1516 is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit social club and school, which operates a unique venue with a small private-label brewhouse, beer; hop & sustainable gardens, and a teach-in kitchen. We are not a brew pub, restaurant, or commercial brewery.
Everything is beginner-friendly, hands-on, very accessible, and in English.
