The Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class was designed to empower birthing families with education and advocacy by giving you a realistic depiction of what it's like to give birth in your community and what you can do to ensure their birthing experience is a positive one. This course is much deeper than the typical childbirth class and the knowledge you gain is far more vast than pushing and breathing. An overview of each week's class is listed in the Agenda section. This 6 week class meets every Thursday from 7:00pm- 8:30pm starting on the date you choose when selecting tickets.

Your instructor, Dr. Jessica Thompson, is a pelvic floor physical therapist and owner of Generational Health Physical Therapy and Wellness, LLC. She has over 3 years of experience specializing in treating the pregnant and postpartum population. She offers in home birth preparation classes for those in the Atlanta Metro area. She is also an advocate for moms and monitors the health of moms of color through wearable technology to help them survive pregnancy and thrive postpartum via Operation M.I.S.T. How large is a class?

The max capacity for a class is 6 couples, which are usually birthing persons and their doulas or partners.

Is the pre work before the Zoom meetings time consuming?

The videos are very informative. You have the option of adjusting the speed in which you watch them. On average they may take an hour of your time.

Are there any physical resources that I receive?

Yes, included in your registration is a physical workbook that will be mailed to your prior to the first class. There are digital options as well. There are also free gifts for those who participate in class discussions and complete the required homework!

This is a 6 week long course. We meet virtually once a week.
