CKA: Human Growth & Development

Participants will learn what executive function is and what it looks like in children. They will explore different strategies to supporting executive function growth and walk away with techniques to enhance these skills through activities and games.

Training Objectives:

1 . Describe how executive function presents itself in school-aged children.

2 . Recognize how to support executive function in their teaching.

3 . Identify activities that increase executive function to implement into their classrooms.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.

The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. (Approval codes are specific to the number of hours approved and cannot be adjusted for partial attendance).” Additionally, so we can account for each participant, all attendees must register and attend under their own name.
