David Martin is a guitarist and bassist, originally from the Ohio/West Virginia area. For the last 30 years, he's resided in Minneapolis playing all styles on both instruments. He was in Portland, OR in 2008-'09 where he recorded 3 CDs with fellow guitarist Mike Doolin. Their latest CD is 'Dark Star' (2016). His newest recording is 'ReLit' (2024) along with 'Play On' (2019) with vocalist Vicky Mountain. He has received a 2020 Artist Rescue Trust Grant, a 2020 and 2021 Twin Cities Music Community Trust Grant, a 2020 Springboard for the Arts Grant, and a 2020 Working Partnerships USA Grant.


Locally, he plays in Salsa del Soul, DAT Trio, The Bill Simenson Orchestra, Minneapolis Jazz Guitar Duo (MJGD), and accompanies many vocalists around town such as Maryann Sullivan, and Vicky Mountain. He also does a variety of music at several churches in the Twin Cities area.

Classic 1960's-styled nightclub with award-winning music in a listening environment. Show reservations (no paper ticket necessary) serve as your dinner reservation for performances on the Main Stage, in the intimate Dunsmore Jazz Room, and the Belvedere outdoor tent. No reservations taken for Maggie's Lounge, offering free music Wednesdays evenings and Afterglow on Friday and Saturday nights.
