EVERY MONDAY for 6 weeks
In 2023 One Book, One Community initiative was formed to promote a common city wide reading experience to increase intellectual and cultural dialogue among readers and to exchange ideas for the purpose of raising awareness and visibility with regard to a particular community issue.
This year Patients Not Prisoners has teamed up with St.Johns & Putnam County Library System to bring you an experience of connection and belonging as we dive deep into the book "Crazy" by Pete Early. This book refers to our broken mental health system to help expose how our jails and prisons have become our new mental asylums and why this is wrong. On our last day, May 8th, our book club will join a world wide session with International Compassion for a "Crazy" book review - featuring Lisa Taliaferro, as host, and special guest Pete Earley - to reveal his secrets about the making of the book!
