Cossitt Library Lunch and Learn Tour
The Cossitt Library team is now offering a series of engaging tours and discussions inside the current Cossitt Library building before it becomes inaccessible to the public due to construction. The Lunch and Learn tour allows the public to see what the blueprint plans of the new Cossitt Library will be, what new programs and partnerships will be set in place, and how you can become involved as a volunteer with the Cossitt Friends of the Library team.
Near the end of the tour, we will open up a discussion about the Cossitt Library featuring a panel of special guests. This historic restoration of the Cossitt Library will add an incredible public space aimed to improve civic engagement between all Memphians. Keeping this in mind, this public space should have the ideas, hopes, concerns, and voices from all kinds of Memphians in all our communities be present in a dialogue that will shape the direction and success of your Cossitt Library.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own lunch for the discussion, but light refreshments will be provided.
This Lunch and Learn Tour will be Tuesday, May 14th from 12:00pm to 12:45pm. We will meet in the first floor lobby for a short briefing and then transition to the upstairs section for the discussion. Parking is available by the Library parking lot near the UofM Law School and paid parking spots are on Monroe by the library as well.
We hope to see you there!
