About this event

The mission of establishing Confident Kids is to give children a space where they can be openly and honestly authentic, better helping them to express their needs and make positive decisions throughout their lives. We will be teaching kids the importance of communication, boundaries, energy practices, breathing, and coping skills, along with boosting their self esteem through various team building challenges and fun group geared activities. This will be for ANY child between the ages of 9-15.

A little bit about the facilitator: Alex is a certified life coach and has 10 other certifications in energy healing including and not limited to Reiki, Hypnotherapy, and Neuro Linguistic Programming or "NLP." She spent 15 years as a camp counselor, studied at ESU to become a teacher (with all inclusive teaching practices), has multiple years of experience working with kids with emotional and mental disabilities, has three years of group facilitation experience working in rehabs and mental health facilities, was a ropes course facilitator at a summer camp, is a talented musician and artist, and is the author of the “To Self With Love” poetry movement. After a lifetime of her own struggles in learning to love herself wholly, Alex has made it her sole mission to help others on their journey to self love. She is a very proud aunt of 8 and is phenomenal with understanding the needs of children. Her intuitive nature and soft heart give her an extra leg-up when working with kids of all ages and offers a level of safety to those around her with her lighthearted demeanor and goofy/fun-loving personality. After years of working in the mental health field and treatment industry, her hope is to give children the tools they need to make positive decisions throughout their adolescence so they will not need to course correct later in life as an adult.

A little bit about the event space: There will be parking located all around the building! The building is tucked conveniently at the back right corner after following a couple rows of buildings. Just look for the big 2B on the side. This event will be on a second floor, and it is only accessible through a small staircase located inside the building.
