The Central County Fire Department (CCFD) is excited to announce our CCFD CERT Program Kickoff Event! Come hear all the CERT Program updates and news and from Fire Chief, Bruce Barron, our CCFD CERT Firefighters, Paramedics, and Instructors. CERT Program Manager, Dena Gunning will share the exciting news on upcoming training opportunities and the National CERT Association (NCA) Conference. Join CCFD CERT today and be better prepared for tomorrow! ﻿Preparedness Makes a Big Difference – Share the Message!!

Central County Fire Department is dedicated to keeping our communities prepared and resilient by providing information that will allow them to serve not only themselves but their neighborhood and beyond. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for all hazards that may impact their community, and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster medical operations, and communications. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders may not be immediately available to help. The CERT Program is a dynamic community of volunteers who want to help their neighbors!
Badges - If you have completed the CERT Basic Course between 2019 to present you may be eligible to receive a new CCFD CERT Badge and updated CERT backpack. We will have a station at the kickoff to take photos and issue badges/backpacks to eligible participants.
