Here is your opportunity to become a trained member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Here is your opportunity to become a trained member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
CERT training educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area, and trains them in basic disaster response skills with hands-on practice. Using the training learned, CERT members can assist others following an event when professional responders are not immediately available.
You will learn how to:
- Prepare for disasters & emergencies
- Assist people who are injured
- Extinguish small fires
- Conduct light search & rescue
- Identify & anticipate hazards
- Organize volunteers & work as a team
- ... and much more!

*Classes will primarily be held at the Burlingame Community Center (850 Burlingame Ave., Burlingame), with one class (on October 15) at Hillsborough Town Hall (1600 Floribunda Ave., Hillsborough).
*Skills Development & Application will be at the Chetcuti Community Room (511 Magnolia Ave., Millbrae).
