About this event

BLOOM365 is excited to return to the NOVA Annual Training Event to facilitate our 5th Annual Teen Track! This immersive and highly engaging four-day Peer Advocate Academy educates and activates teens (13-17 years old) to promote safe and healthy relationships for all and provides opportunity for teens from across the U.S. and around the globe to connect and collaborate to achieve a common goal: uproot abuse in a generation!

Teen Track participants will experience an interactive and inspiring 4 days of thought-provoking training delivered in 4 tracks:

1: EDUCATE: Recognize the red flags, root causes, and risk factors of Interpersonal Violence (dating violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, gender-based violence, stalking, etc.) and enhance skills for building healthy relationships.

2: ADVOCATE: Respond to and support peers "going through it" by learning how to L.E.V.E.L.™ with them. (Listen. Empathize. Validate. Encourage. Link to resources.)

3: ACTIVATE: Gather tools to engage 10% of peers and trusted adults in local schools and communities to actively promote safey, respect, consent, and empathy as social norms.

4: AMPLIFY: Elevate teen voices and lived experiences to uproot abuse in a generation.

NO COST NEEDS BASED SCHOLARSHIPS

BLOOM365 has a limited number of no cost, needs-based registration scholarships available for teens who want to attend the TEEN TRACK at the 50th Annual NOVA Training Event and whose families are at or below the ALICE threshold.

ALICE is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed and represents families unable to afford the basics of housing, child care, food, transportation, health care and technology. ALICE workers do essential work to keep their local communities going, such as victim advocacy, child care, health care, security, retail services, etc. yet often earn less than what is necessary to get by. Scholarships are available for teens whose parent(s)/caregiver(s)/families meet this criteria.

To apply for a scholarship, please send an email to hello@bloom365.org and share why you want to attend the BLOOM365 Teen Track at the 50th Annual NOVA Training Event in Washington D.C.. The scholarship covers the Teen Track registration and includes lunch and snacks each day. Transportation and lodging costs are not included in this scholarship.Upon review of the request, a no cost registration code will be sent via email so you can register for free.
