Want to learn more about common chemical exposures and how to avoid them to keep you and your family safe? Common chemicals addressed include BPA, phthalates, pesticides, and hormones. Practical tips are provided for limiting exposure to these chemicals including eating plant-based foods. Participants will participate in discussions, enjoy a cooking demonstration of 3 recipes that avoid environmental chemicals and cook along with the instructor if they would like.

Pre-registration is required. Early bird and buddy discounts are available.

What is the location for the class? The Long Island class will be offered via zoom. Instructions with handouts and recipes will be sent to confirmed participants via email a few days prior to class.

What's the refund policy? Is my registration fee or ticket transferable? To manage food and materials purchases, we can only provide refunds up to seven (7) days prior to the beginning of the class. After that, there are no refunds. Thanks for your understanding. However, if you really can't make the class (we will miss you) you can transfer the registration to a friend you really like online up to 24 hours in advance.

Laurie Courage is a Certified Plant-Based Nutrition Educator and Health Coach and founder of Encouraging Greens Inc. She helps people on the brink of a health crisis restore their health and enjoy an energetic life for years to come by helping them understand what and how to eat, offering both personalized health and wellness coaching programs and group nutrition/cooking classes on Long Island.

Laurie teaches a variety of cooking/nutrition classes online and on Long Island when conditions permit. She coaches individual clients 1:1 and offers group coaching programs for those over 50 .
